New Rochelle Youth Tackle League Frequently Asked Questions
New Rochelle YTL Frequently Asked

Questions and Answers.

How can I have a banner placed at Joseph Fosina Stadium?

To have a banner supporting NRYTL placed at the stadium, please send us an e-mail or inquire in person during practice hours.
If you inquire by e-mail someone will get back to you with specifications and cost as soon as possible.
Where can I buy NRYTL merchandise?

A private vendor supplies NRYTL merchandise. You can have your custom NRYTL support merchandise made at
Rainbow Embroidery in New Rochelle by contacting them directly. We endorse Rainbow Embroidery due to their
support of NRYTL over the years.
Can I have the T-bolts phone number?
Teams do not have private Telephone numbers. If your son or daughter is on a team,
the head coach will provide ways that he may be contacted, if necessary.
My son will be 15 in September. Do you have a team for his age?

At this time our oldest team is the Jr. Midget Team. You must be no more than 13 before August
1st of the season you wish to participate and of qualifying over-light weight to participate on this team.
Can I coach if there is room for assistant coaches?
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches must be certified each off-season, including background checks and possible
CPR certification. Please inquire about off-season coaches meetings through NRYTL.com to become a coach.
We vacation during the first 2 weeks in August, how will that affect my son participating?
Your child can still participate if he has been registered, had his physical and had all necessary paperwork turned in.
However, participants, especially first-time players, may have difficulty catching up when they return in terms of conditioning,
learning plays and other aspects of football that is taught in the first two weeks.
My son is 9 years old. Can he play for the T-bolts?
It is recommended that he play with his age group on either the Mitey-Mite team or the Jr. Pee Wee team.
The only instances of a 9 year old playing with the T-bolts may be due to the weight of child.
Does the Youth Tackle games conflict with the travel Youth Soccer games?
NRYTL does not coordinate scheduling with other Youth Sports programs. We generally play games on Saturdays
and Sundays. Each Head Coach has their own team rules but it is not recommended for participants to miss excessive
practices, as they may not be eligible for game participation.
My son is seven years old, is it our choice whether he does flag or contact football?
Yes, it is your choice. However if your son is not deemed ready for contact football it may be
suggested that he begin to learn the game playing flag.
My grandson is 6 years old. Is he old enough to join the youth tackle league this summer?
Yes, he will be eligible for Flag (non-contact) participation.
How can I submit pictures of some historic days of YTL for this website?
Please submit articles and photos that document NRYTL’s history to contact@nrytl.com

Why can’t I find myself when I search?

Our search engine is fully functioning. However if you are an NRYTLer, and you cannot find yourself due to the infancy of nrytl.com,
please bare with us as content is slowly being added when possible.

When does registration begin for the season?
Each season we have an early registration period in June or July. Most players register August 1 of each season.

I am having problems viewing the registration application. What can I do?
The registration document was created in Microsoft Word. If you do not have this application you can e-mail NRYTL
and we can send you a format you can print out. If this does not work you can come to the field August 1
and fill out the registration there.
Can you send me more information?
NRYTL is a not-for-profit entity and thus we cannot provide information packets to parents of prospective participants.
Please check with www.nrytl.com for information or come down to our field of operations for more information.
Can someone call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx.?
NRYTL does not call individuals in search of general information.  As a non-profit volunteer organization,
we do our best to answer questions from the community at large through our website. If there is a concern
of a more serious nature please come to the field personally and speak to your Head Coach.
Do you only accept players that are residents of New Rochelle?
Participants who are not residents of New Rochelle can only participate if there is not a
Pop Warner Football League presence in their surrounding community.
Do you know of any contact football leagues in Bergen County?
Please go to http://www.popwarner.com/admin/leaguefinder.asp?lable=finder to find a League near you.
Please advise me of the practice and game schedule.
NRYTL begins practice Aug 1 of each season. We generally practice everyday M-F 5pm-7pm and some teams may practice Saturdays also.
Once school begins for the kids we practice 3 times a week (and possibly Saturday morning).
Games are held on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.
