Season Begins With Victories 9/16/06
On
Saturday September 16, 2006 the New Rochelle Arrows began
their second season. The team is full of veterans and
it showed. On the first play of the game Nate Stufano
took the hand off and ran for about 30 yards. He also
came about two yards short from scoring a touchdown later
in the game. It was an all around team effort. The MVP
of the game hands down was Jarrett Haines who had two
touchdown runs and made numerous stops on defense. The
Arrows are loaded with speed and that was proven with nice
runs by Jordan Lewis and Nashiem Hiland. But with no time
left on the clock and down 28 to 21 the Arrows were down
to their last play and it was their star.
Quarterback
Makai Johnson who ran the QB keeper for 45 yards and the
touchdown. Good call coach. The kids had a great time and
they are getting closer and closer to their first ever
win. It
was nice to see all of the proud parents at the game showing
their support that’s what the kids need to see. The
arrows play again on 09/23/06 at noon in New Rochelle come
out and support the kids.
Due to the
influx of new Flag team players there will be three teams
