    PEE WEE

The Pee Wee Purple Wave took on the Chile Lions (Rochester) on Saturday 11/24/13 and prevailed with the first State Championship in YTL history. A one yard touchdown run by Antonee Abraham and an extra point run by Ray Dixon was all that was needed in the snowstorm champiuonship game played outside of Albany New York.
The Purple Wave recovered from a slow start to the season before ripping off 5 straight wins including a 33-0 win in the first round of the Empire State Playoffs.

Antonee Abraham, Ray Dixon, Omari Walker, Jordan Dunbar,Jordan Jackson, Drew Tommarello lead the offense behind the blocking of Kristen Lewis, Aaron Nelson, Perron Gregory , Kemar Mclaren-Williams, and Ethan Ortiz. The Purple Wave defense was lead linebacker Corey Baron, Mekhi Benjamin, Jake Tommarello, Kayshawn Thomas, Sincere Thomas, Angel Yoguez and Jaiden Brickle. Joel Cooper, Robert Davis, Samuel Hall, Jefferson Holly Jr., Jalen Lewis, Michael Reedy also contributed to the Championship season.

    Jr. Pee Wee

7-0 overtime loss for the Jr. Pee Wee Purple Wave in the State Championship Game outside of Albany New York vs the Sherman Park Bulldogs (Syracuse)

This overtime Championship game came after a thrilling 20-14 last second comeback win in the previous weeks playoff game when Jayson Mcghee ran the ball in from 4 yards away on fourth down and ten seconds left in regulation.

The Championship game was highlighted by the running of Ali Paul who put the Purple Wave within striking distance on their first offensive series. Penalties pushed the Purple Wave away. This would be the calling card of the game as the Purple Wave offense would move the ball inside Sherman territory , yet come away empty handed. The Purple Wave defense once again played tough, with Nicholas Miceli , Bryce Boahene, Tisebastian Brandon and Mason Crovato leading the way.

With no score the two teams went to the overtime format. Sherman would score on 3rd down from their 6 yard line when Ali Anthony and Jaheim Gregory tackled the Sherman runner, dislodging the football in the air. The ball was then caught by another Bulldog player who fell into the end-zone.

Once the Jr. Pee Wees were on offense, Anthony and Gregory positioned the ball at the two yard line with power running. But on 4th down the Sherman Park defense stopped the Purple Wave at the one yard line to end the game and prevail 7-0.

The play of Keron Beckham, Caroline Davis, Chris DeMarco, Evan Falco, Daniel Hill, Zachary lopane, Jayson McGhee, Jusyai Riddenhour, Xavier Whittenburg, Anthony Riina, Vito Ruggiero, Luke Scobbo, Caleb Small, Justin Walsh and Breyon Williams contirbuted to the gutsy Jr. Pee Wee playoff run.

    Jr. Midget

The Jr. Midget Purple Wave completed a dominating season with a 30-0 win over the Chile Lions (Rochester) to claim the Empire State Championsip. It was the Jr. Midgets ninth consecutive victory of the season.

Quarterback Jaylin McGhee drove the Purple Wave attack downfield in the snow on their first possession. Jamal Dallas high-lighted the drive with multtiple runs before scoring from 7 yards away. It was to be the only scoring neccessary as the Purple Wave defense shut down the Chile attack throughout the night. Defensively, Morgan Paul, Aaron Cadle , Jaishon Spady, Mikey Williams, Nikosamori Decime and Kenny Torain dominated the Chile line of scrimmage. Offensively, Jordan Forest scored three additional touchdowns while Storm Jones-Alleyne and Kairi Manns picked up some of the running duties to help offset the loss of Myles Taylor (foot injury).

Isaiah Ashman, Khyeir Brown, Jihad Clarke, Thomas Consentino, Michael Coughlin, Jaheim Jones, Lonnie Jones, Marcquis Kinyon, Andrew Link, Joseph Romeo, Vincent Ruggiero, and Noah Small contributed to the Championship effort.
